This accessory brings a boarding ladder for a model of the F-15 fighter in 1:48 scale. It is not a kit but a separate part for finishing a scene: a model with the ladder extended from the fuselage gains a story and a sense of scale at once, because the viewer instinctively compares the rungs with the size of the aircraft. The ladder suits models shown on a ramp rather than in flight.
The F-15 is one of those aircraft that need no external steps for the pilot to board — the ladder is built into the left side of the forward fuselage and extends outwards when the machine stops on the ramp. On a parked aircraft an extended ladder is therefore an entirely ordinary sight, and together with an open canopy it is part of the typical look of the aircraft between flights. A stowed ladder, by contrast, matches a machine ready for takeoff.
Separate the part from the carrier structure carefully and true the cuts up with a fine file — the rungs and the side rails are thin and break easily. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Paint it separately before fitting and do not forget the characteristic warning stripes and the wear: a ladder is where paint rubs off fastest, so fine scuffs and boot marks will only do the model good. Check the position and the angle of the ladder against photographs of your own subject, so that the extension matches reality.
