An injection-molded plastic kit of the American multirole fighter McDonnell Douglas F-15E Strike Eagle in 1:48 scale from Academy. This box carries the markings of machines from the Seymour Johnson base. It is the two-seat strike-fighter version of the Eagle. The F-15E Strike Eagle is the two-seat strike version of the famous F-15 fighter. Unlike the purely air-to-air versions it is also adapted for precision strikes on ground targets in any weather, by day and by night. The rear seat is taken by a weapons systems operator, and the aircraft carries an extensive range of guided and unguided weapons and auxiliary tanks on the sides of the fuselage. Thanks to its performance, range and payload the Strike Eagle is among the most capable multirole aircraft of its category and serves to this day.
Cut the parts from the sprues and glue them with liquid modeling cement for plastic. Paint and accentuate the tandem cockpit before closing the fuselage, and mask the clear glazing while spraying. Pay attention to the fit of the air intakes and of the auxiliary tanks on the sides of the fuselage. Apply a primer and the paints with an airbrush, apply the decals over a gloss clear coat and bring out the panel lines with a wash. Fine-tune the rich external stores at the end.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
