This is a resin detail set, not an airplane model. The set replaces the cockpit of a plastic kit of the single-seat F-16C fighter in the Block 25/32 version with a faithfully cast cockpit tub with richly worked side consoles, an instrument panel and a more faithful ejection seat. The execution matches exactly the early Block 25/32 version, which differs in its instrument fit from the later blocks as well as from the basic F-16C version.
The F-16 Fighting Falcon is an American single-engine multirole fighter with a characteristic bubble canopy and a side-mounted control stick. The Block 25 and Block 32 versions are among the early production machines of the C series with a single-seat cockpit. The glazing of the canopy gives the pilot an exceptional view out, so the cockpit interior stands out markedly on a model.
First wash the parts free of mold release residue and cut off the casting blocks. Bond resin with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and sand with respiratory protection. Before setting the tub into the fuselage, check how it seats and adapt the cockpit walls if necessary. It pays to finish the painting before the fuselage is closed and to pick out the fine instrument markings with a wash.
