A set of reinforcement plates for the F-16C Fighting Falcon model of production blocks 40 and 42 in 1:48 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The F-16C is the single-seat version of the American Fighting Falcon multirole fighter. The aircraft was built in successive production blocks that differ in equipment and in small details on the surface, and blocks 40 and 42 belong to the later batches. On aircraft in service, thin reinforcement plates laid over the skin are often visible on the fuselage and the wing in the places that carry the greatest loads. It is precisely this detail that turns a model into a machine from a particular service unit rather than just a shape out of the box.
The package holds colored printed elements in 1:48 scale that imitate these plates, including their own thickness, outline and rows of rivets. They are applied over the finished paintwork, so there is no masking and no cutting from film. The layout matches blocks 40 and 42; on other blocks the plates are arranged differently.
The surface of the model has to be painted, dry and free of grease, ideally smooth. Cut the elements out with a sharp blade and carry them with tweezers; on large areas lay them down from one edge and press them gradually so that no air is trapped underneath. The application procedure differs between the individual Quinta lines, so follow the manufacturer's instructions supplied with this set.
The set is for modelers who take the surface of a model to a faithful finish. The package contains only these elements; the kit, paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
