Quinta Studio 1:48 F-16D block 30: a 3D-printed colored interior is an add-on set for bringing out the interior of a plastic model in 1:48 scale. It is not a kit of an aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set from Quinta Studio brings a color-printed cockpit interior for the F-16D block 30 on decal paper. It is not a kit of an aircraft but an accessory for a plastic model: it brings out the instrument panel, the side consoles and the rest of the cockpit equipment. The features are already colored and broken up, so picking out tiny instruments with a brush falls away.
The F-16 Fighting Falcon is a single-engined multirole aircraft that became famous for its frameless bubble canopy, its side-mounted control stick and its reclined seat. The F-16D version is two-seat and serves for training as well as combat duty; the rear cockpit has its own set of instruments and controls, so the interior of a two-seat machine offers considerably more area to bring out than the single-seat version. The designation block 30 is tied to the production batch with the General Electric F110 engine. Thanks to the unbroken glazing of the canopy, both stations stay clearly visible on a finished model.
Before you start, dry-fit to check whether the cockpit parts sit without play and whether anything prevents the colored layer from lying down. A smooth and degreased surface holds best, so remove any small burrs left by sanding beforehand. Sharp tweezers and patience matter more here than speed. Once finished it is worth flattening the interior gently with a matte varnish, so that gloss does not spoil the sense of scale, and picking out the edges and recesses with a dark shade: the cockpit then reads as deeper.
