A set of 3D decals from the SPACE range by the Czech manufacturer Eduard, intended for detailing the cockpit of the two-seat F-16D in the Block 50 version in 1:48 scale. The decals are printed with relief and already colored, so once glued to the kit's parts they look three-dimensional and need no further painting. This is not an airplane model but an accessory with which you replace flat plastic interior detail.
The F-16D is the two-seat variant of the General Dynamics, today Lockheed Martin, F-16 Fighting Falcon, with seats arranged in tandem under a common canopy. The Block 50 version belongs to the generation equipped with the General Electric F110-GE-129 engine and upgraded avionics; two-seat machines serve both for training and for full combat duties. The cockpit of the two-seat version has its own arrangement of the front and rear stations, which differs from the single-seat F-16C.
First clean up and degrease the parts the decals are glued to; the surface should be smooth. With a sponge and a drop of detergent, moisten only the backing paper, lift the element off it with tweezers and move it into place, fine-tuning the position with a soft brush. Fix it with PVA glue (white glue) and let the part dry thoroughly. Do not use a decal softener or a decal fixer, as the chemicals attack the printed resin and would ruin the element. Complete the interior and fit the decals before the fuselage is closed up; once it is closed you will no longer reach the parts.
