Eduard F-18F masks 1:48 is a die-cut self-adhesive masking set for a model of the American two-seat F/A-18F Super Hornet fighter. It gives crisp color transitions on the glazing, the wheels and the camouflage. It is not a model but a masking aid.
Responsibility details are not available.
This die-cut self-adhesive Eduard masking set in 1:48 scale is intended for a plastic model of the American two-seat F/A-18F Super Hornet carrier-based multirole aircraft. It is neither a kit nor a model in its own right, but a set of precisely shaped masks in thin yellow masking tape (kabuki). The masks will be appreciated by modelers who want crisp color transitions on the glazing, the wheels and the camouflage areas without tediously cutting tape by hand.
The F/A-18F Super Hornet is an American two-seat carrier-based multirole combat aircraft which forms the backbone of the navy's strike squadrons. Compared with the older Hornet it has a larger airframe, more powerful engines and a wider range of stores. The F version has a two-seat cockpit under a single large canopy and manages air combat as well as attacks on ground and surface targets.
Degrease the glazing of the large canopy and let it dry. Lift the masks off the backing and lay them on the frame of the windscreen and the hinged section, pressing them into the edges. Spray the paint with an airbrush in thin coats. The masks for the wheels separate the tire from the disc. Once the paint has dried, peel the masks off carefully at a shallow angle, so that the fresh coat is not disturbed.
The package contains masks only. The model, paints, glue and decals are not included, unless stated otherwise.
