An injection-molded plastic kit of the modern fighter aircraft Lockheed Martin F-35A Lightning II in 1:48 scale from Kitty Hawk. The model has a detailed cockpit, optionally open weapons bays with weapons and detailed landing gear. A photo-etched fret for the fine elements and a rich load of weapons for the fuselage bays tend to be in the box as well.
The F-35A is the basic version of the fifth-generation multirole fighter for conventional take-off and landing from land runways (CTOL). Unlike the F-35B version it has no lift fan and it carries a built-in cannon. Stealth shaping, modern sensors and data links make it one of the most widespread contemporary combat aircraft.
Join the plastic with liquid cement and sand the seams on the airframe carefully for a smooth surface. Consider whether you will leave the weapons bays open. Spray the gray stealth finishes with an airbrush over a primer, set the markings with a decal softener and even out the surface with a satin to matte varnish.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
