A continuation of the Furball Aero-Design decal series devoted to the F-35, this time to the B version. The designation Part V in the name says that it is the fifth part of the set; the individual parts do not overlap in content, so they can be put side by side.
The F-35B is the version capable of vertical landing and takeoff from a short runway. Behind the cockpit it has a lift fan driven by a shaft from the engine, the exhaust nozzle swivels downward, and auxiliary vents open in the wings to balance the machine in slow flight. Because of that machinery it has a shorter range and a smaller internal weapons bay than the other versions, but it can operate from the decks of smaller ships and from improvised strips.
The surface of the machine is divided into serrated edges and irregular panels with no sharp engraving. The basis is a gray shade with a fine difference between the panels, which you achieve by darkening or lightening the base color by a tone and spraying through loosely cut masks. Before the decals, varnish the surface to a gloss, otherwise the printing will announce itself on a matte surface with a glossy outline edge. A final matte varnish unifies everything.
The package holds decals without a model. A kit of the F-35B has to be obtained separately.
