A resin and 3D-printed set of exhaust nozzles for a model of the F-4 Phantom II fighter in the early B, C, D and N versions in 1:48 scale from the Ukrainian brand Reskit. The set replaces the nozzles from the basic kit with more faithful parts with fine inner and outer detail; it is not a standalone model but an accessory for a Phantom kit, according to its name the one from Tamiya.
The F-4 Phantom II was an American two-seat supersonic multi-role aircraft that became the backbone of the Air Force and the Navy in the second half of the 20th century. The B, C, D and N versions are among the early fits. The nozzles of the jet engines are an exposed part that plastic often simplifies, so a resin replacement raises the realism of the tail considerably.
Wash the parts free of mold release agent or uncured print resin, cut off the casting blocks and the print supports and clean them up with respiratory protection. Glue them with cyanoacrylate. The metallic shades and the heat tints of the nozzles come out with metallic finishes and a fine wash.
This is not a standalone model. The set serves to improve a kit; the base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
