An injection-molded plastic kit of the two-seat carrier fighter McDonnell Douglas F-4B Phantom II in 1:48 scale from the Korean brand Academy. The model has a finely engraved panel structure, a well worked out cockpit and a clear canopy that can usually be built in the open as well as the closed position. Decals for several period finishes are part of the box.
The F-4B was the first large-production version of the Phantom II intended for the US Navy and the Marine Corps. This twin-engine machine, with a crew of a pilot and a weapons systems operator, became famous in the Vietnam War as a multirole fighter and fighter-bomber. It carried a radar and an armament of guided missiles and became one of the most important combat aircraft of the Cold War.
Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic, sand the joints and treat the surface with primer. For even coverage as well as fine camouflage transitions an airbrush is suitable. Paint the cockpit and the landing gear bays before closing the fuselage.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
