The Eduard 1:48 F-86A Sabre TFace set masks the glazing of a model from the outside and the inside alike.
Responsibility details are not available.
The version of the masking set marked TFace differs from the basic one in that it deals with the glazing from both sides. You therefore cover not only the outside of the canopy and the windscreen but their inner surface as well, so that the framing comes out in the cockpit color from the inside and in the shade of the upper surfaces from the outside. The maker is Eduard, the scale is 1:48, and the plastic model is sold separately.
The A version of the Sabre entered service with the units at the turn of the 1940s and 1950s and was the most widespread American fighter in the first months of the Korean War. The cockpit had a bulged canopy with a good field of view and a windscreen with a flat clear panel. The forward part of the fuselage was taken up by the air intake, through which the engine drew air straight through the nose.
The inner masking comes before the cockpit is glued to the fuselage. Protect the clear part from dust in the meantime, because a fingerprint sealed under a mask can no longer be removed. Keep the nozzle at right angles to the surface when spraying; an oblique stream will get under the edge. After lifting the masks off, inspect the corners of the framing against the light and put any overrun right with a fine brush.
The package deals with the masking; the kit itself you have to own.
