Paint Forge Hex Stencils M is the basic hexagonal pattern in the smaller of the available formats. A smaller stencil is easier to move around, which comes in useful when you want to cover a larger area with the pattern in sections.
Responsibility details are not available.
The smaller variant of the basic hexagon stencil from Paint Forge. The motif corresponds to size L, and the format of the aid is what differs. A smaller stencil is lighter to handle, and for exactly that reason it works well where a pattern is put together from several applications one after another.
A continuous hexagon area can be put together from a smaller stencil, but it takes a system. After the first pass let the paint set, then shift the stencil so that the outer row of hexagons covers the part already sprayed, and use it as a deliberate overlap. That overlap is the key: without it a visible seam appears between the blocks of the pattern, and you will no longer hide it on a finished model. It also pays to start from the most visible area and to push an imperfect join to where nobody normally looks.
Dried paint on the edges of the motif is the main reason stencils gradually lose their crispness. Clean it right after you finish spraying, before the paint hardens, and let it dry flat. Store it flat, not rolled up — a wavy stencil will not press against a surface and the pattern gets blurred.
An aid for painting. It is not a kit and paints are not included.
