This is a detail set for the cockpit in 1:48 scale from the Czech manufacturer Eduard from the SPACE range. It combines color 3D decals, which give the instrument panel and the side consoles a raised, layered look, with pre-painted steel photo-etched parts, among them the seat belts and fine details. It is neither a kit nor a stand-alone model but an accessory for raising the realism of the cockpit of F-86F Sabre fighter models.

Use

• The 3D decals are not immersed in water: only the backing paper under the element is moistened, the element is lifted off with tweezers and fixed to the cleaned surface of the instrument panel or the console with PVA glue (white glue).
• The pre-painted photo-etched belts and details are glued with cyanoacrylate glue after being cut from the fret.
• Best added after the cockpit has been base coated, so that the color layers stand out.
• The elements are shaped for this particular cockpit and fit without major adjustment.

Who it is for

The set is meant for more advanced modelers who want a thoroughly detailed cockpit without lengthy hand painting of the instruments. It saves time compared with classic photo-etch, because the colors and the lettering are already printed.

This is an accessory set, not a complete model. Paints, glue and the base kit are not included in the package.
