This resin detail set brings a finely cast ejection seat with a faithfully rendered harness for a model of the American North American F-86F Sabre fighter in 1:48 scale. It is not a stand-alone airplane model but an accessory that replaces the simpler seat from a kit and markedly raises the fidelity of the cockpit. The belts are cast directly in the resin, so there is no photo-etched folding to do.
The North American F-86 Sabre was an American jet fighter with a swept wing that made its name above all in the fighting of the early 1950s. The F version was among the most widely built and offered a more powerful engine and further changes. In its day the Sabre was one of the best fighters of its generation and served with a number of air forces around the world.
Wash the mold release residue off the parts, carefully separate them from the casting blocks and bond them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Wear respiratory protection while sanding. The seat and the belts come alive once they are painted and the detail is lightly picked out.
This is an add-on set, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
