A resin pitot tube and tie rods for the F1M2 Pete in 1:48 scale from Quickboost. Fine details of the biplane; it is not a model of the airplane.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin detail set, not an airplane kit. This set of finely cast resin holds the pitot tube (the airspeed sensor) and the tie rods (the bracing rods) of the Japanese Mitsubishi F1M2 biplane observation floatplane, known to the Allies as Pete, in 1:48 scale. The parts sharpen up small but conspicuous items of the machine, which out of the box tend to be coarser. The set is meant for more advanced modelers with experience of resin.
The pitot tube and the tie rods are thin components, and with them resin has the advantage over thicker plastic thanks to its fine casting. A faithfully shaped pitot tube and delicate tie rods add to the conviction of a model and bring out the care taken over the build. Once painted and cleaned up they look entirely faithful.
This is a resin detail accessory, not a model. The base kit, the paints and the glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
