A resin detail set, not an aircraft kit. Cast in finely detailed resin, it refines the airbrakes of the American McDonnell F3H-2 Demon carrier fighter in 1:48 scale. It lets you show the brake panels extended, together with a faithfully rendered interior of their wells, which base kits often cover only in simplified form. The set is meant for more advanced modelers with experience in resin.
Open airbrakes are among the details that lend a model movement and show careful work. The casting captures the thin edges of the panels and the structure of the recesses beneath them, which cannot easily be created out of solid plastic. Once the inner walls are painted and fitted, the transition between the fuselage and the brake looks entirely convincing.
This is a resin detail accessory, not a model. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
