A resin detail part in 1:48 scale from Aires, the Quickboost range. It is not an airplane kit but an ejection seat with faithfully cast seat belts that brings a cockpit to life better than a bare plastic part. The seat is meant to be fitted into the corresponding plastic model.
The McDonnell F3H Demon was an American single-seat carrier jet fighter of the 1950s with a swept wing. It served from the decks of aircraft carriers and was among the forerunners of the later McDonnell fighters. The ejection seat allowed an emergency escape from the aircraft, and the pilot was strapped into it by a system of belts.
First wash the part to remove mold release residue, cut off the casting block carefully and bond it with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Sand with respiratory protection. Try the seating dry before gluing and adjust the surrounding plastic if needed. Spray the surface to match the rest of the model so that the part blends into the overall finish.
