A resin Aires electronics bay for the F3H-2 Demon in 1:48 scale. It is not a model but a resin detail set for an existing kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin detail set from Aires that lets you show the electronics bay open on a 1:48 model of the American McDonnell F3H-2 Demon carrier fighter. It is not an aircraft kit but an aftermarket accessory for more experienced modelers. The parts are cast in resin with fine structure on the equipment boxes, the wiring and the inner walls of the bay.
The avionics of the real Demon were housed in separate bays reached through service panels that the ground crew opened for maintenance. The F3H Demon was an American single-seat, single-engine carrier fighter of the 1950s, an all-weather interceptor armed with cannon and guided missiles. An open bay brings a model to life in a maintenance scene or a diorama.
These are resin parts for advanced builders. Wash them in warm soapy water to remove any mold release agent, cut the casting blocks off with a saw and clean up the surfaces. Bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). An opening usually has to be cut in the fuselage to seat the bay, so work slowly and dry-fit as you go. Protect your airways while sanding resin, as the dust is harmful.
The set does not contain the model itself, glue or paints. It is meant for finishing an existing kit in that scale.
