This resin accessory from Quickboost in 1:48 scale offers finely cast antennas for a model of the American Grumman F9F Panther carrier jet fighter. It is not an airplane kit but a set of small detail parts that will replace the coarser plastic antennas with thin, crisply shaped resin items.
The F9F Panther was an American carrier jet fighter with straight wings, used by the Navy above all in the Korean War. On the fuselage and the tail surfaces it carried several antennas for its communication and navigation equipment. Thin resin castings match the real thickness and shape of those antennas better than plastic parts, which also break easily.
Wash the resin parts in lukewarm soapy water because of the mold release. Cut off the tiny casting blocks carefully with a knife, sand the surfaces lightly and protect your airways while sanding resin. Bond the thin antennas with a delicate touch of super glue (cyanoacrylate); fit them at the end of the build so that they do not break off. Apply a primer before painting.
It is supplied as a resin accessory for experienced modelers, not as a standalone kit. Paints, glue and the base model are not included in the package.
