Seat belts for the cabins of the F/A-18 Hornet and T-45 models in 1:48 scale, produced by 3D printing.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set brings seat belts for the cabins of two machines of US naval aviation: the multirole carrier aircraft F/A-18 Hornet and the carrier trainer T-45. Both real subjects have a cabin that is clearly visible, and on the trainer a two-seat one as well, so the belts are in view on a finished model. The elements are worked out in 1:48 scale and produced by 3D printing, so they have a thickness of their own and are not merely a flat suggestion.
They take the place of belts that a kit deals with by a shallow relief on the shell of the seat, or supplement them where they are missing. The shape of the seats differs between kits, so offer the elements up dry before gluing and compare their width with the backrest. Trim the molded suggestions of belts off the part in advance and sand the surface down, so that the new element sits down without a step.
First check in the manufacturer's instructions whether the elements are self-adhesive. The method of application differs between individual lines, so set about the work only once you are sure. When you glue the elements, use super glue in minute drops and tweezers with fine points. A bend of the belt made with the fingers looks more natural than a straight strip. Wash and degrease the surfaces before fitting, and then handle the finished cabin with care, as a fingerprint is hard to remove from the belts.
The subject of sale is these elements. The kit, the paints and the glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
