Quinta Studio 3D interior Boeing F/A-18E Super Hornet 1:48 is a colored 3D decal of the cockpit on a carrier of decal paper; before it is seated it is soaked briefly in lukewarm water and holds on gloss varnish. The Quinta Studio set contains complete colored equipment for the cockpit printed by 3D technology on decal paper. The modern displays, the instruments, the side panels and the details of the ejection seat have spatial depth and factory coloring, so demanding painting of tiny elements falls away. It is not an aircraft kit but a refining accessory for a plastic model of the single-seat F/A-18E in 1:48 scale.
The Boeing F/A-18E Super Hornet is a single-seat carrier-borne multirole fighter of the US Navy. Compared with the older Hornet it has a larger airframe, stronger engines and modern avionics with color multifunction displays. The glazed cockpit turns a well worked interior into a striking visual dominant of the model.
The elements have no adhesive layer; they are printed on a carrier of decal paper. Go over the surfaces of the cockpit with gloss varnish (Future/Klear, Tamiya X-22), soak the cut-out part in lukewarm water for fifteen seconds and slide it off the paper into place. On broken-up shapes a drop of super glue helps. Do not use a decal softener or a setting solution, as they would attack the printed resin. The interior needs no further painting.
This is a detail set, not an aircraft model. The kit itself, glue and paints are not included in the package.
