A resin detail set for experienced modelers, not an aircraft kit. The set replaces the cockpit from a plastic kit with a faithfully cast resin cockpit tub of the American F/A-18E Super Hornet carrier multirole fighter in 1:48 scale. The aim is to push the detail of the cockpit well beyond the level of the parts from the box.
The castings capture the cockpit tub, the ejection seat, the control stick, the instrument panels and the side consoles with a fine relief of instruments and controls. It is the open cockpit that is most on show on a model, so an investment in detail tells in the final impression. The set is shaped for a particular Super Hornet kit, with which it matches dimensionally.
This is a resin detail set, not a model. The base kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
