Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the German fighter monoplane Fokker E.III of the First World War in 1:48 scale from the Czech manufacturer Eduard. It is a ProfiPACK edition, which contains, besides the plastic parts, color photo-etched parts, painting masks and decals for four color schemes. Thanks to optional parts, the set also allows you to build the related E.II version. The model has a detailed Oberursel rotary engine, a well-worked cockpit with color photo-etch and a suggested structure of the fabric covering over the framework.
The Fokker E.III was one of the first true fighter aircraft. Its strength did not lie in the airframe, but in the synchronized machine gun, which could fire through the turning propeller without damaging it. This solution gave German aviation such a marked advantage at the turn of 1915 and 1916 that the period became known as the Fokker Scourge. The monoplane, with a wing braced by wires, was powered by an Oberursel rotary engine.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife and glue them with thin liquid cement for plastic, and the fine color photo-etch with cyanoacrylate. Apply a primer before painting. A typical finishing step is the rigging — stretch the bracing wires from a thin filament between the wing and the fuselage for a faithful look. Bring out the glazing and the fabric surfaces with a subtle wash.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
