A colored photo-etched instrument panel in 1:48 scale for the cockpit of the late versions of the Focke-Wulf Fw 190A. It is a finished detail accessory, not an aircraft model: the part is in fine metal etch, factory-painted and provided with faithful dials and instrument labels. It comes in a self-adhesive version, so it is placed straight into the pilot's compartment without any spraying or hand painting.
The late versions of the Focke-Wulf Fw 190A (A-8 and A-9) represented the peak of the development of the A series. They carried a heavier armament and further changes for use against the Allied formations. They were powered by the BMW 801 radial engine and were among the most widespread variants of this German fighter.
Cut or sand the original instrument panel from the kit down flat, so that the photo-etched part seats. Peel the backing film off and press the panel into place; on larger parts a drop of cyanoacrylate glue helps. For maximum depth the dials can be dropped with clear resin or gloss varnish, which imitates the glass of the gauges. Work with the fine etch using tweezers and clean fingers.
This is a detail accessory for a cockpit, not a complete model. The base kit and paints are not included in the package.
