The Fw 190 A-8 in 1:48 is a set of details from Black Dog meant for a model of the most numerous subversion of the radial-engined Focke-Wulf.
Responsibility details are not available.
The accessory from Black Dog is tied to the particular A-8 subversion and serves for detailing its plastic model. The package contains only parts for detailing, not the fuselage or the flying surfaces.
The A-8 was produced from 1944 and became the most widespread subversion of the whole radial-engined series. Compared with the older machines it had strengthened armament and a modified internal arrangement of the rear end, and it was used in two quite different roles: as an ordinary fighter and as a heavily armored interceptor against bomber formations. A space was added to the rear of the fuselage, which was filled according to the fit-out either with fuel or with a mixture raising the output of the engine at altitude. The interceptor machines moreover received thicker glass for the cockpit and armor plates on the sides. It is precisely because of that second role that it belongs among the types for which an exceptional number of various field modifications has been preserved.
Because the A-8 served in many forms, it pays to decide on the particular machine before you start gluing, so that the accessory fits the chosen arrangement. Shorten the contact surfaces only as much as is necessary and rather try them more often. Prepare a smooth gloss base under the decals, otherwise silvering will appear beneath them. Keep the weathering restrained, as the late machines tended to be dusty, but not rusty.
