A set of replacement exhausts in 1:48 scale for a model of the American P-51D Mustang fighter.
Responsibility details are not available.
The P-51D Mustang is an American fighter of the Second World War and its best-known version. You recognize it by the teardrop canopy and the lowered fuselage spine, thanks to which the pilot had a view to the rear as well. The exhausts stand out in a row on both sides of the nose section and are clearly visible, because they lie on the smooth surface beside the cockpit, where the eye looks first.
This is a set of replacement exhausts in 1:48 scale, that is an accessory with which the parts out of the kit are replaced. Exhausts are among the parts where the difference can be told even without magnification: sharp edges and the regular spacing of the pipes do more for a model than many coats of paint. Which kit the set is drawn for and how many parts it holds are given in the manufacturer's instructions supplied with it.
First try the part dry and clean the bed in the fuselage up as needed, so that the exhausts seat in one line and do not stand crooked. The parts are not of polystyrene; they are glued with superglue. Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder. Wash and degrease before painting. They are painted in shades of burnt metal, ideally with several tones over one another, because a uniform color looks flat. Then run the sooting behind the exhausts toward the tail, with the airflow, and let it fade away to nothing.
What is supplied is a set of exhausts. The kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
