The Quickboost (Aires) set in 1:48 scale holds a precisely cast cover of the gun section for the German Focke-Wulf Fw 190 fighter. It is a detail accessory, not a kit of the airplane: the resin cover replaces the matching plastic part from the boxed kit and offers finer surface detail.
The Focke-Wulf Fw 190 was one of the best German fighters of the Second World War. The forward part of the fuselage carried the synchronized guns, and their cover made up a prominent area of the upper part of the engine cowling, with characteristic panels and riveting that come out well on a model.
Wash the part free of mold release residue, separate it from the casting block and bond it with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Wear respiratory protection while sanding. We recommend taking care over a clean run into the surrounding areas of the fuselage, so that the transitions stay smooth.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted, as a resin detail set. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
