Yahu Models 1:48 Fw 190A-3 is a finished color photo-etched instrument panel for a model of this German fighter. It drops into the cockpit with no painting and no touching up with paint.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not a kit of an aircraft but an addition for the cockpit. The box holds a photo-etched instrument panel printed in color at the factory, with legible dials and fine relief that is unattainable in injection plastic in 1:48 scale. The panel matches the early production version of the Fw 190 A series, so it suits modelers who build machines from the first period of the type's service and want a pilot's compartment with no compromises.
The Focke-Wulf Fw 190 came about as a complement to the then standard German fighter and quickly won a standing of its own. Unlike its liquid-cooled rivals it received an air-cooled BMW 801 radial engine enclosed in a tight cowling, which gave it good resilience and solid agility in horizontal maneuvers. The A-3 version was among the early production forms and was used above all over Western Europe. The pilot sat in a relatively roomy cockpit with a good view and a sliding canopy.
Do a dry fit before gluing. The plastic part from the kit usually needs the raised relief of the instruments sanded off, so that the photo-etched panel seats flat. Glue it with a small amount of cyanoacrylate or a glue for photo-etched parts, applied with a wooden stick around the edge and never on the printing. Solvents and grease off your fingers both damage the printing. A drop of clear gloss varnish in each dial creates a convincing imitation of the instrument glasses.
This is an addition for the cockpit, not a kit of an aircraft. The model, paints and glue are not included in the package.
