This is NOT a model of an aircraft but a resin detail accessory from Eduard in 1:48 scale. The set holds the underwing gun pods characteristic of the heavily armed U12 version of the Focke-Wulf Fw 190A-5 fighter. The castings are meant to replace or supplement the plastic parts in the base kit and bring sharper detail than injection-molded plastic allows.
The Focke-Wulf Fw 190 was a German single-seat fighter of the Second World War with the BMW 801 radial engine. The U12 modification (Umrüstbausatz) added a pair of pods with additional 20 mm cannons under the wings, producing a heavily armed machine suited to destroying bombers. The greater weight of the armament, however, worsened its agility.
Start by washing the mold release agent off the resin parts, carefully cut away the casting blocks and sand with respiratory protection. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Lay down a primer before painting; paint the pods to match the lower wing surfaces of the machine in question.
This is a resin add-on set, not a model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
