A fine photo-etched detail set in 1:48 scale from the Czech manufacturer Eduard. It is not an aircraft kit but an accessory made of thin photo-etched metal parts (most often brass) with which you replace or complete the small details on a plastic model of the Fw 190F-8 attack aircraft, details that cannot be molded in plastic in the matching fineness. The set is meant for more experienced modelers.
The Focke-Wulf Fw 190 was a German single-seat fighter with a radial engine. The F-8 version was the ground-attack adaptation derived from the A-8, fitted for attacks on ground targets with additional armor and bomb racks. It was used above all on the Eastern Front in the close air support role.
Nip the photo-etched parts carefully from the fret and clean up the burrs. Bend them over a sharp edge (a photo-etch bending tool proves its worth) and join them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Degrease the parts before varnishing and apply a primer for good paint adhesion; areas printed in color are varnished only with a light touch.
