The set brings 3D printed resin replicas of the American GBU-31 JDAM guided bomb in 1:48 scale. It is not an aircraft kit but an aftermarket accessory with which you fill the racks of an already built model of a modern combat aircraft.

The real subject

The GBU-31 JDAM is an American precision-guided bomb created by fitting a conventional bomb of the 2000 pound weight class, the Mk 84 or the penetrating BLU-109, with a JDAM guidance kit with inertial and satellite guidance and a tail control unit. It allows accurate strikes on ground targets in all weather.

Use and building tips

• Wash the parts to remove uncured print resin residue and separate them from the print supports.
• Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue).
• Sand with respiratory protection, ideally wet.
• Seat the tail guidance unit and the dorsal strake accurately; apply primer before painting.
