A resin armament set from the Czech maker Aires. It holds detailed castings of the German 13 mm MG 131 aircraft machine gun. It serves to refine the armament of Second World War aircraft models in 1:48 scale, above all in exposed weapons compartments and defensive positions.
The MG 131 was a German 13 mm aircraft machine gun of the Second World War. It was used both fixed in the wings and the fuselage of fighters and in the flexible defensive positions of bombers. The set captures its shape more faithfully than injection-molded plastic allows.
First wash the mold release residue off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and clean up the mating surfaces. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and protect your airways when sanding resin. Lay down a primer before painting; the details are best brought out by building up layers with a fine brush, and the larger surfaces with an airbrush.
This is a resin accessory for a kit, not an airplane model. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; the base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
