A set of waterslide decals from the British maker Xtradecal in 1:48 scale. It offers several color schemes for models of the Gloster Meteor in the single-seat F.4 fighter and two-seat T.7 trainer versions. Meant for the plastic kits of these types available in this scale.
The Gloster Meteor was the first British jet fighter to be deployed in the Second World War and in the postwar years it formed the backbone of RAF fighter aviation. The F.4 version brought more powerful engines and a strengthened structure, while the two-seat T.7 served to convert pilots to jet aircraft. Many machines carried silver all-metal surfaces, some trainers with warning stripes added.
Apply the decals over a smooth gloss clear coat so that no matte rim appears around the markings. On glossy silver surfaces in particular, a perfectly smooth surface matters. Soak the element, move it into place, blot the water off and settle it with softener. Once dry, go over it with varnish to the gloss level you want.
This is a stand-alone set of decals, not a kit. The model, the paints and the varnish are not included in the package.
