This set from Eduard's SPACE range combines color 3D decals with photo-etched steel parts and serves to detail the interior of the Gotha Go 244B transport aircraft model in 1:48 scale. It is not a kit but an add-on detail set for models of that aircraft. Thanks to the three-dimensional printing, the instrument panels, the side panels and the seat belts look solid and faithful in color without laborious painting.
The Gotha Go 244 was the powered version of the Go 242 cargo glider. Engines, most often captured French units, were mounted in the tail booms, which turned it into a medium-sized transport aircraft of the Luftwaffe in the Second World War.
The 3D decals are not self-adhesive. Use a damp sponge with a drop of dish soap to moisten only the backing paper under the part, do not immerse the sheet in water, lift the part off with tweezers and fix it with PVA glue (white glue); the manufacturer does not recommend super glue. Do not use a decal softener, as it attacks the printed resin. Bend the photo-etched steel parts over a sharp edge and glue them with super glue. The parts follow the shape of the model's interior, so work patiently.
