A sheet of decals in 1:48 scale aimed at a Greek F-16 in the markings connected with the NATO Tiger Meet of 2018. The Tiger Meet is a regular international exercise of units that have a tiger in their badge; the participating machines traditionally appear in striking temporary finishes, and it is exactly those that are a favorite subject among modelers.
It is not a model. You are buying printed markings on waterslide film, which are applied to a finished, painted and varnished model of the matching scale.
Tiger schemes tend to be colorful, with large areas and with motifs across the whole fin. A decal of that size needs a genuinely smooth glossy surface; every irregularity under the film shows as a bubble that you will not get out again. So before decaling, sand the surface with very fine paper and overcoat it again.
Soak the motif in lukewarm water and let it stand on a towel until the film slides easily. Apply a layer of weak solution to the model, bring the decal up and adjust the position with two soft brushes. Press the water out from the center outward. Use the stronger softener only at the end, mainly at the edges and transitions. Once dry, wash the model with lukewarm water and even the surface out with a varnish - with colorful schemes a semi-matte one works well.
