A set of precisely cut self-adhesive masking templates (kabuki masks) in 1:48 scale from the Czech manufacturer New Ware. It is not an airplane kit, nor is it an ordinary set for the glazing, but a supplementary masking set for spraying the exterior details of a model of the Grumman F-14A Tomcat carrier-based fighter. The Exterior version is aimed at exterior items such as the engine nozzles, the anti-glare panel in front of the cockpit and the movable surfaces of the wing. The set makes it easier to spray sharply the details that are hard to cover by hand - for example the matte anti-glare panel in front of the cockpit or the metallic shades of the nozzles. The templates hold a sharp edge and ensure a repeatable result with no paint creeping underneath. They complement the basic set of cockpit masks well.
The Grumman F-14A Tomcat is a carrier-based multirole fighter with a variable-geometry wing and a crew of two. With the US Navy it served to defend carrier groups and it ranks among the best-known fighters of the Cold War.
