This set from the Brassin range replaces the plastic ejection seats with accurately cast resin parts completed by pre-printed photo-etched elements and decals. It is intended for models of the Grumman F-14D Tomcat in 1:48 scale and markedly raises the detail of the cockpit.
The ejection seats are the most conspicuous element in a cockpit, so a more detailed replacement pays off. The pre-printed belts and placards save the work of painting tiny elements. It is not an aircraft kit but a detail accessory for the interior.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts, cut off the casting blocks and bond them with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Bend the photo-etched belts carefully and lay them out according to the real thing. Spray the base coat with an airbrush and pick out the detail with a wash and dry brushing.
The set contains cast and photo-etched parts and decals. Glue, paints and the kit are not included in the package.
