Plastic kit of the A-7E Corsair II carrier-based attack aircraft in 1:32 scale. The large format gives room for detail in the cockpit, the landing gear bays and the stores under the wing.
Responsibility details are not available.
The A-7 Corsair II was an American carrier-based attack aircraft intended for strikes against ground targets. Its shape derives from an earlier fighter, but it is shorter, stockier and remained subsonic, because accuracy and weapons load mattered more to it than speed. The A-7E version served with the Navy and was powered by a single turbofan engine. Carrier operation brings with it folding wings, a tailhook and rugged landing gear.
In 1:32 scale the length works out at around 44 cm and the span at just under 37 cm, so it is a large model for the display case. The format rewards careful work in the cockpit and in the landing gear bays, because you really can see into them once the model is finished.
Before gluing, clean the parts of excess material and production marks, sand the mating surfaces and dry-fit the assembly, above all where the fuselage joins the wing. Finish the cockpit and the bays before you close the fuselage. Wash and degrease the model before painting and spray the large areas in several light coats.
Paints, glue, filler and accessory sets are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
