This accessory set contains cast resin barrels of the wing armament for models of the Spitfire in the Mk VII to IX versions in 1:48 scale. It is not an airplane model but a detail accessory that replaces the simplified plastic barrels with more faithful castings. It is made by the Czech brand Brengun.
The Spitfire in the Mk VII to IX versions carried a combination of cannon and machine guns in the wings, with their barrels protruding from the leading edge. The thin resin castings look more delicate and more accurate than the thicker parts made of plastic.
Separate the small barrels carefully from the casting block with a saw, clean up the surfaces with respiratory protection and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Take care to line them up on one axis.
This is a detail accessory, not a model. The base model, the glue and the paints are not included in the package.
