A masking set for a model of the American H-21C Shawnee transport helicopter in 1:48 scale. The masks are cut to the shape of the glazing, so there is no need for the slow cutting of strips of adhesive tape, and the frames come out straight and the same width along their whole length. On this machine that is a noticeable saving of time, because it has more glazed surfaces than most helicopters.
The H-21 was an American transport helicopter with two main rotors placed one behind the other. Thanks to the curved fuselage that earned it the nickname flying banana, it cannot be mistaken for anything else. It served to carry troops and materiel, flew in northern conditions as well as in the tropics, and at the beginning of the 1960s it was among the first machines deployed in Vietnam.
It will be appreciated by anyone who dreads masking glazing, and especially by those who want the cockpit frames sharp and regular. Which kit the set is cut for is given in the manufacturer's instructions, because the masks are made for a particular model.
What is supplied is a masking set. The helicopter kit, paints and glue are not included, unless stated otherwise.
