Precisely die-cut self-adhesive Eduard painting masks in 1:48 scale for masking while painting the model of the American H-21C Shawnee transport helicopter. It is not a model but an accessory. The masks of thin kabuki tape fit the frames of the extensive glazing of the pilot's cabin.
With the masks you cover the cabin glazing and other areas that are to stay unsprayed; the set is usually laid out to mask the wheels as well. The accurate die-cut shapes give sharp frames and speed the work up on an intricate glasshouse.
The H-21 Shawnee was an American transport helicopter with a pair of tandem main rotors and a long, slightly curved fuselage, which earned it the nickname Flying Banana. It served to carry troops and cargo, among other things in the early phases of the Vietnam War.
