It is not a kit, but a replacement part that swaps the thicker plastic barrels from the box for more slender and more faithful castings with a crisp shape.

What the part is for

The Hurricane Mk.I carried a battery of 7.7 mm machine guns in the wings and, together with the Spitfire, formed the backbone of the British defense during the Battle of Britain. The protruding barrels and their muzzles are small but conspicuous details on a model. Fine castings with faithful proportions look more convincing than the thicker plastic parts from the box and save the laborious job of replacing them with metal tube.

Usage tips

First wash the resin parts in lukewarm water with a drop of detergent to remove mold release residue. Separate the thin barrels carefully from the casting block with a sharp knife or a saw and clean them up with respiratory protection. Glue them with cyanoacrylate glue and handle them with tweezers. The muzzles can be suggested gently for effect; dark metal shades bring out the material.
