A resin cockpit set from the Czech maker Aires. It replaces the pilot's compartment of a plastic kit with a detailed casting carrying the glazed nose, the instruments, the seats and the controls. It is intended for the He 111H-4 and H-6 versions in 1:48 scale and suits more experienced modelers.
The Heinkel He 111 was a German twin-engine bomber used throughout the Second World War. Its characteristic feature was the fully glazed nose with the stations of the pilot and the navigator. The versions of the H series were among the most widespread and carried a pair of inverted V12 engines.
First wash the mold release residue off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and clean up the mating surfaces. Bond with super glue (cyanoacrylate) and protect your airways when sanding resin. Lay down a primer before painting; the details are best brought out by building up layers with a fine brush, and the larger surfaces with an airbrush.
This is a resin accessory for a kit, not an airplane model. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; the base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
