Responsibility details are not available.
This decal set from the brand Model Maker in 1:48 scale is, according to the name, devoted to the markings of Hellenic Air Force squadrons on F-16 aircraft. Which particular units the sheet covers and how many there are should be checked against the illustration on the packaging; all that follows from the name is the subject area of the set.
The F-16 is a single-engined multirole fighter and in the Hellenic Air Force it is among the most widespread types. The individual fighter squadrons differ outwardly above all in the emblem on the fin, in additional bands and in legends, while the airframe and the camouflage stay the same. That is exactly why sets aimed at unit markings make sense: they turn one built model into the machine of a particular squadron without any need to change the color scheme.
Silvering, that is, the yellowish-silver haze around a motif, arises when air is left trapped between the carrier film of the decal and the surface of the model. The most common cause is applying it onto a matte coat. Prevention has three steps. First, a gloss clear varnish as the surface, thoroughly cured so it does not wrinkle under the decal. Second, as close a trim of the carrier film as possible, because every extra millimeter of film is an area that can lift. Third, pressing the water out from under the decal with a soft cloth or a cotton bud, working from the center toward the edges. If the haze appears anyway, pierce the film with a sharp point in several places and apply a softener; it gets under the film and draws the area down. With large emblems it pays to do that before you seal the whole surface with the final overcoat.
This is an accessory set, not a kit. The base model, the paints and the varnish are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
