The spraying stencils 1:48 Hurricane Mk.IIC Trop, national insignia and markings replace decals: RAF roundels are created directly in the paint. Intended for the Arma Hobby kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of painting stencils for the RAF roundels and the additional markings of the cannon-armed Hurricane in desert form. The design is created by spraying, so no film lies under it and the paint seats even on the fabric covering of the rear fuselage. The set is designed for the Arma Hobby kit.
The Mk.IIC version carried four 20 mm cannons in the wing and with them moved from a classic fighter toward attacks on ground targets. Machines in tropical form had a bulky dust filter under the nose, which markedly changes the silhouette of the underside of the fuselage. They fought over North Africa, Malta, the Middle East and in Burma, where they served long after more modern types had replaced them in Europe. The fuselage consisted of a steel tube framework covered with fabric, so the areas behind the pilot have a different surface character from the all-metal wing.
An RAF insignia consists of several concentric bands, which are sprayed one after another from the lightest shade to the darkest. Lay a thin covering white under a colored field; without it both the blue and the red shift visually on Dark Earth and Mid Stone camouflage. Work at low pressure and with rather thinner paint, because one wet coat creeps under the edge of the stencil. Lift it off soon after it has set, with the tip of tweezers and at a slant along the surface.
