Responsibility details are not available.
This die-cut self-adhesive Eduard masking set in 1:48 scale is meant for a plastic model of the British Hawker Hurricane fighter in the Mk.I and Mk.II versions. It is not a kit or a model in its own right but a set of precisely shaped masks in thin yellow masking tape (kabuki). The masks will be appreciated by modelers who want sharp color transitions on the glazing, the wheels and the camouflage fields without slow hand-cutting of tape.
The Hawker Hurricane is a British fighter of the Second World War with a V12 Rolls-Royce Merlin engine. Its design was based on a tube frame fuselage with fabric covering, which made repairing damaged machines easier. During the Battle of Britain it shot down more enemy aircraft than the more famous Spitfire. The Mk.II version brought a more powerful engine and heavier armament.
Degrease the glazing of the framed canopy and let it dry. Lift the masks off the backing and lay them on the individual frames of the windscreen and of the sliding section, press them into the edges and fill small cutouts with a strip of tape. Spray the paint with an airbrush in thin layers. The wheel masks separate the tire from the rim. Once the paint has dried, peel the masks off carefully at an acute angle.
The package contains masks only. The model, paints, glue and decals are not included, unless stated otherwise.
