This is a set of 3D decals from Quinta Studio, this time for the outer surface of the model. The elements are printed on a flexible film, they are raised and finished in color, and they add realistic airframe details: panels, access covers and other surface features. The set is intended for Polikarpov I-16 Type 5 models in the late version. It is laid out for the I-16 kit from Zvezda.
The Polikarpov I-16 was a Soviet single-seat fighter of the 1930s, one of the first production low-wing monoplanes with retractable landing gear. It was recognizable by its short, barrel-shaped fuselage, and it served in the Spanish Civil War and in the opening period of the Second World War.
The elements are cut from the sheet and applied to the outer surfaces of the model; degrease the surface, work with tweezers and a sharp knife and trim the excess film away. Release each part from the backing paper with a brief dip in lukewarm water and slide it onto the gloss-painted surface. The details can be clear coated at the end and blended with the surrounding paint.
It contains exterior decals only; the model, the paints and the glue are not included.
