A resin detail set of the Quickboost brand with an oil cooler for a model of the Soviet Ilyushin Il-10 attack aircraft in 1:48 scale. The casting has a faithful structure of the cooling matrix and a shape that injection-molded plastic struggles to produce. This is an accessory for a kit, not an airplane model.
The Ilyushin Il-10 was a Soviet attack aircraft from the end of the Second World War, the successor to the earlier Il-2. It served to attack ground targets. The oil cooler belongs to the engine section and is a visible detail of the underside of the airframe.
Wash the mold release agent off the part, cut off the casting block and seat it in place of the original plastic part. Bond it with cyanoacrylate glue, and pick out the matrix with a dark shade and a light wash.
The kit itself and the glue are not included in the package.
