This resin set of wheels from the Brassin line by the Czech manufacturer Eduard is intended for models of the Il-2 Shturmovik attack aircraft in 1:48 scale. The package contains the main wheels and the tailwheel with a realistic tread and a weighted tire effect. Assembly is easy and it replaces the simpler plastic parts. It is not a model — it is an accessory.
The Ilyushin Il-2 Shturmovik was a Soviet single-engine attack aircraft of the Second World War and one of the most produced combat aircraft in history. The sturdy landing gear with its large wheels is clearly visible on a finished model, and a resin replacement gives it more faithful detail.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Paint the tire and the rim separately for a clean division. Do any sanding with respiratory protection.
This is a detail accessory, not a model of an aircraft in its own right. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
